At first this seemed straight forward, but now upon further inspection, I'm not certain if this is a celebration of religious enlightenment, or a criticism. Why would the darkened hallways be calling you? Is this like a drug addict who went clean, but still has urges to turn back the dark path (hallway)? But earlier he says 'freedom, silence, always. all these darkened hallways'. If those two ideas go together, is he saying that freedom and silence come with the darkened hallway path, or is the freedom and silence is on the enlightened path?
Somewhat confused. Freedom seems like a good thing, and something someone would preach they have if they are saved. But relying on religion can be a crutch, much the opposite of freedom. Silence could refer to, as it commonly has been referred to in the past, as a lack of God's guiding 'voice'.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it.
