The song from my view, is about a past relationship with a girl, this line meaning everyone he ever loved, changed on him, they were once full of life and then they develop no feelings for him in return as if turning dull, not caring..lifeless as in turning to stone.
"So wrap your arms around me, and leave me on my own"
Meaning, yeah tell me you love me, embrace me with your words, make me develop these feelings for you, so that you can eventually leave me.
"Take back every word I've said, ever said to you
He regrets what happened, I think the whole song in general means he has a curse and never is going to find love.
I don't know about the song in general, there's a lot of different interpretations that could be had, but..

This is quite possibly my favourite one-line lyric of all time. My interpretation of that lyric is that he's basically saying he cannot trust himself with others emotionally, and it's pretty much just declaring his distaste for himself. Those who get close to him get hurt, and he doesn't like it, but he can't seem to control it. (possibly because of...

"Everything I touch turns to stone" - What I mentioned before, everyone who gets close to him eventually becomes ruined/emotionally dead/hurt etc.
"So wrap your arms around me and leave me on my own" he's saying to the person (probably a 'significant other') that he knows he will be the death of her emotionally, but he can't control how much he wants her. By getting close to him, she will get hurt, and subsequently "leave (him) on (his) own", but he doesn't have it in him to leave her.
With this interpretation, I guess I could say that the line "take back every word I said, ever said to you" is his attempt to save or protect her from him. He loves her, but he wants her to believe otherwise to protect her from his ways.
Sorry for talking so much about this lyric, but I think about it a lot, and I love the lyric sooo much, so I just like that there's a small forum where people are voicing their opinions on it :)
