This song strikes me as James in love...lots of humor in this one... "I knew you couldn't make me go away" and "You always diss me on your phone" ... he paints a picture that the girl is sort of a dick to him (in a sarcastic way), but he likes her a lot and maybe even finds the trait endearing. Driving her car, being cheap, eating ramen, being "friends first." This is pretty much a joyous puppy love song...lots of innocence here. Childlike, almost... I love this song.
