I don't know if this is how she meant it, doesn't really matter either way, but I get a real dominant/submissive feel throughout the whole record. This is my favourite of Melissa's songs, and for me the whole 'falling down' bringing 'hopes high' and helping 'with the truth inside' is about being submissive in a relationship, about needing to be controlled. That's just me though, I'm probably reading my own desires into it! :p
