For me, this song has always been a Biblical one about Abraham, his son and God. I think that ''I got two for the price of one'' is God talking about Abraham and his song - God saying that he knows that they will do everything for him. I think I first have to read the Bible story to be completely sure, because there's also a lot about poor/rich people in it, and I have no idea whether or not that's in the story.
