yeah i agree and there does seem to be something missing, but that 'ghost pressure' can be taken as the idea never leaving him.
the 'little visions' can be seen as the possible future i.e. children 'I know they're dancing there invisibly', so 'ghost pressure' can also mean that the thoughts or possibility are dead meaning that him and this girl are no longer together.
that's also supported with the 'swarm of bees' and how 'they never will leave' because regardless of the fact that 'i could use a little mystery' she 'just had to know'.
so in total, he loved her, could imagine a future and kids with her, she was unsure, he didn't care, they broke up because she wanted to be sure, and he could still imagine all of their once possible future but now it's just a ghost.
