I say this song is referring to the fans who hated their new songs from MTM. Even though LP may have thought is was a good, new, experience for the album to release, there were many fans who thought they should never change. So in terms with those hateful fans (The blackbirds), they resorted to trying to using the same style as Hybrid Theory and Meteora for their recent album. Not everything should be the same. Sometimes a change is good for everyone.
