It is quite simple to me as to what i interprite the lyrics to be. It basicaly says to have faith in God and to leave the past alone quote "I'm done with sin" adn prey for redemption "I've paid my price". The lyrics also mention "Sin is the anchor, holding you down" which posibly can be interpreted as as long as you keep messing up ur not going to get any where in this life (or the next one). also "I'm on my way to paradise" is a possible refernce to going to Heaven or that they are doing better currently in thier life then in the past. but it realy puts an emphasis on trusting God "Gop is your captian, change your direction" which is lyrical advice saying leave everything negative behind, start over and live for and by God.
