To me this song seems to be able a long distance relationship or being in a one sided relationship where the other person doesnt put any effort in and one person is carrying all the weight on their own back instead of sharing it. this relationship has dragged on for too long and the person who was putting in all the effort is tired of having nothing returned and becomes apathetic about their relationship and then cheats on his significant other.
