First time I heard this tune, I remember thinking it was stupid. But it was very catchy and grew on me quickly. I've wondered a little bit if the "Switching yard" imagery had some sort of Jekyll and Hyde intimation, or possibly bisexuality with the midnight train going both ways. But I think I'm stretching things a bit, though with Warren very little could be ruled out.
