In an interview, Tegan said this song was originally called "Bad Idea" because that was the name she had the girl she was interested in listed as.
And, this was her reminder to not call too much, don't rush .. have a reminder in your phone to not call her when drunk or sad or something that will rush things in that state or mind .....because it's a BAD IDEA.
