this song applies to me at the moment i think. i think hes sorta saying he made a mistake because he became too narrow minded (tunnel vision came to me) and he wants to forget it (like erosion changes memories). when he says father its either referring to his actual father and he's gone home to his parents but its probably more likely god. basically the song is about how he was very narrow minded (about love) and he didnt stay focussed so he managed to stuff everything up and now he's going back to where he started. he shouldve just stayed focussed but didnt. its a really nice little song i think.
