I was certain this song was a song from Christ's perspective, but then I heard the acoustic version, and my opinion changed. The acoustic version adds the line at the very end "That you'd love someone like me, it's a mystery". That doesn't seem like a line that would come from Jesus, but more like what a humble and loving spouse would say. I could be wrong about that, but the acoustic version seems a bit more like a wedding song, whereas the original verison is certainly a spiritual song. That's my interpretation anyway.
