Personally I think if it's about drugs it's about DMT and people doing it left right and centre at festivals, people see "oh it's a drug", take it for a bit of fun, think "Jesus what I have done" when it hits them harder than any other psychedelic, and then 10 minutes later they're like "Actually that was fun, lets do another hit" - happens everywhere, but particularly in the UK.
Unlike most people here I'm not gonna claim my theory is fact though, that's just what I'd take a guess at, if it's drugs I'm pretty sure it's DMT or another short acting psychedelic or dissociative (maybe nitrous)?
