I love this song! It was the first song I ever heard by CB. Now I'm also into "Joey". Both seem to describe my relationship with my alcoholic husband. I know he tries to curb the drinking, and I try to be compassionate, but it all falls apart. We love each other so much and can't imagine a life apart, but it gets harder to stay together all the time. That is what I believe this song is about. Wanting to fight to make it work, but feeling like it is a losing battle.
