For me, when it comes down to it, the meaning has nothing to do with what the artist was thinking about while writing it. It's all about what it conjures up in each individuals head... So saying one persons interpretation on the song is wrong is wrong itself.
To me it's about excepting the fact that you're traveling through life alone for a while. That you smoke your weed, do what needs to be done, and try to pursue happiness all the while.
