I think it's about American culture more specifically the excess, materialism and conformity that's within our culture especially the music today. I think Gerard said that this is sort of an "anti party record you can party too" so that kind of fits. At the end he's sort of saying that he won't conform to the drugs and partying culture of today to fit in/sell records. Still not as good as anything on Three Cheers but pretty fun song with a good message nonetheless. I like this new direction.
