So I just added the lyrics the other night even though the EP has been out for almost 2 years now. Anyways, I think the song meaning is pretty literal. This person is experiencing a new or young relationship. He does not want to repeat the mistakes of the past relationships and he finds himself sometimes getting carried away with those same actions or thoughts as before. But, he has broad shoulders meaning he can handle it this time around and not get "carried away." Also there are religious references, Sampson and God, Sampson being one of the first heroes in the Bible (Book of Judges chapters 13 to 16).
