BB4Christ Theres no way that this song has any Christian connotation, not trying to start a flame war or anything by the way. Maybe if you want to warp the lyrics to a Christian value set as you did, but from listening to other songs by All That Remains theres no way its religious in any sense.

Case and point My Indictment off of The Fall of Ideals. The breakdown is as follows

This is my indictment of your beliefs This is my indictment of what you hold dear

My eyes have seen the horrors that you Commit in the name of your god Your god is violence Your god is unholy Your god is violence Your god is unholy

All That Remains points out how evil the church has become, from the crudades to their lack of action taken in the rampant cases of pedophilia that exists in the clergy. Not to mention their disgusting fear mongering tactics that all lead back to the one thing that the church is truly after which is money.

ANYWAYS the songs fucking amazing and in my opinion one of All That Remains' best.

From what I've heard in interviews, Phil, their main lyricist, is not strictly Christian. I believe he was raised in a Christian background, but his views sounded more agnostic, but with values that may also be present in Christianity.

I personally think their songs have nothing to do with religion whatsoever. (Well obviously Indictment does, but I'm saying generally.) I think they're more about the power of people. How we have power within us, and a lot of this album sounds like getting people as a whole to band together against tyrants and the other shit in the world. To...
