World Turning Lyrics

The song is simple and so is the playing. The same few chords are being repeated throughout except here and there (during the interlude in the middle), but the overall rhythm remains. I became hooked on this song after watching the band play it live. It's also distinct because Stevie Nicks' voice is not the dominant one throughout the song. To me, it's not the typical Fleetwood Mac song. I could be wrong, but I love this song just the same.

OpinionHead, I thought that every Fleetwood Mac song has Stevie Nick's all over it but it's not true!

Each song is generally written by the singer of the song. Nicks has the most recognizable biggest hits of the group but in there are only about 4 songs. Dreams, Landslide, Gypsy, Rhiannon, and Gold Dust Woman.

The other principal songwriters Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie each have a more varied and depth of songs they have written.

This is one of the few songs I know that Buckingham and Mcvie both sing and share the songwriting credits on.
