to be honest, I agree with dark-julie, and I think that's partly because of their other song 'courage'. I can see it could be general, and it has some useful messages for everyone, and could even be indirectly linked to the principles of religion, but there are parts of it that scream eating disorder to me. "alone in this fight with herself" - it's ultimately an internal battle between healthy and "disordered" mind. "the only way out is through everything she's running from" could refer to the only way of getting through an eating disorder is to gain weight/eat/stop behaviours - everything you're running away from in the first place. I really relate to it, and I love the last chorus with the almost scream in the background, ironically I'll often listen to it and end up crying at the point when its "and she fears if she cries that first tear, the tears will not stop raining down".
