I think the entire album (i haven't extensively listened to the entire thing yet) is talking about us destroying the planet and the disaster that looms on our horizon if we don't change our habits. I'd like to point out the connection to Oppenheimer because I'm not sure anyone else has noticed this. The second song, the radiance, is audio of Oppenheimer speaking and along with the quote in that song there is another famous quote of his that goes like this "If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the mighty one" I don't think I need to explain the significance of this quote to the song and the album as a whole. Oh and incase you don't know Oppenheimer is considered the father of the atomic bomb.
