This is my all time favourite K's Choice song!! My favourite line is, 'how i've missed your trembling hands inside of mine.' I feel this line brings out beautifully how someone who others consider to be a complete waste can be a saviour of sort to someone, somewhere. I think this song is about someone who doesnt consider her/himself worthy of the love she/he's been found. I think it's about being scared to love and be loved.
I don't agree with LightofAugust above. I think the song is written for/sung to a dying parent or grandparent. The guilt about leaving home and/or only visiting on Sundays. The guilt about being bored, while other's time is limited. ' Look around and watch your children grow' .... it brings me to tears. Beautiful.
