Cover art for Obsessions lyrics by Marina and the Diamonds

In an interview (http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/entertainment/music/720513/Rockno-role-Interview-with-Marina-and-the-Diamonds.html), Marina stated that this was written as a love song about an ex-boyfriend:

"Speaking of Obsessions, that's the title of the only love song on her album - written about breaking up with a boyfriend. "He's one of my best mates now - and he loves the song," she smiles.

"He's less keen on the lyrics. He hates how he comes across. But I've told him that's the skill of a writer, to make a fantasy sound real. He knows that half the song is true, and half of it's lies.

"Over time, singing the song has become less about him and more about, well, obsessions. My biggest one is getting enough sleep. If I get less than eight hours, I'm anxious all day."
