Well, this song is pretty, pretty obvious. "Carrie" as the narrator (I guess) is obviously trying to forewarn these women who have their sights set on the "Cowboy Casanova" or are being captivated by his charm because she has been in their place before and knows firsthand that this will only end badly for the woman in the situation because the "Cowboy Casanova" only cares about having a good time, he wants to strings attached, but the women want something more and they want to be the one to tame him, but they can't and they only end up in his trap and being manipulated by him.
