I heard this in the grocery store today. Back in the nineties my mom had this cd. The singer's attitude annoyed me "Are you what you are - or what?". Plus the fact that she was a total stoner. Just by listening to the song I could sense it.
I'm almost positive it's "shove me in the shallow water" and that she's referring to baptism. The lyrics are really repetitive and only two subjects are mentioned: philosophy and religion. Either way, I still don't like this song.
