I think "the livery cars... seeing stars" refers to delivery cars with famous people on them. maybe "drive my doberman to drink in bars" is meant to sound like "drive my sober man to drink in bars". that's the only thing that comes close to making sense to me. Maybe the other lines have things like that, however I could be totally off.
