Although I would personally say that it's really the fault of the person putting the pressure on her, not the ex. It sucks being stuck around someone that sees their ex or someone they're in love with (that isn't yourself) when they look at you, let alone being in a "romantic" relationship with someone like that. "'Cos all you see is a human bandage" is an excellent line for how it feels. Of course a part of you wants them to tell a bold face lie and say that you're the one they want, but no matter what they say, it's evident that they want that other person and are just using you as a substitute.
