From what I interpret from the song, it's about someones childhood and not particularly a happy one. I sense a bit of resentment towards the speakers mother. I feel that the mother must not have payed a lot of attention to her children. Sure she would scold them when she took the time to notice them doing something bad, like playing in the power sockets, but she never got down on her knees to play with her children allowing to get some "soot" on her face or put her children to bed.
Instead, the speaker wonders if she was fantasizing about jumping over the back fence if she runs with "him" in the morning, "him" being someone other then the speakers biological father. I assume the running would be away from her current life and family.
The last two verses:
"The reasons my molars are so broken
Is I spend too much time ghosting
With the likes of you and yours
The reasons my insides are swollen
Is I spend too much time ghosting
With the likes of you and yours"
I feel that they can be interpreted in two different ways. Ghosting is a smoking term in which you take a hit and hold it into your lungs for so long that when you finally exhale nothing comes out, you ghosted it. This, to me, makes sense in the aspects of how he is saying his molars are broken and his insides are swollen. On the other hand, the term ghost could be a representation of the neglect he feels from his mother.

Maybe?
I love this interpretation I think it is the most accurate, and it makes me feel for the writer of this song a lot more. Kudos sincerely.
