I'm seeing the positive message, but i thought WW2 first too(@Rickmassacre). This song has a sorta sad feeling like, the waiting before a blitzkrieg. like when you know something bad is coming, something horrible. you've been warned but there is nothing you can do to prevent it; you just have to wait and hope to god you make it out alive.

-now heres my bit: it says "so stand and fight another day" so i think your both right. lemme explain meh-self. The blackout is referring to the preperation of turining off all the lights to hide from the coming attack, but the song is saying if all you do is wait and hide, its going to happen anyway and take everything you've got. So they are saying, stand and fight. when something is coming, and there's no way of avoiding it(avoiding a blitz would be a fuckin feat ha) don't just bury you're head and avoid it: stand for what you think and fight back. don't lay down and give in to tyranny cough damn frenchies. pretty badass song
