I love the way the music picks up at the chorus... the sound of the chorus is really different from the sound of the verses, and I dig that.
And I love this girl's voice, it's got so much soul.
As for the meaning, I think the song is basically about someone who the singer loves to spend time with - someone who makes her feel alive, comfortable, happy, etc. However, that person doesn't feel as strongly about her as she feels about them, and they are rarely there as much as she wants them to be. So, she finds herself waiting and wishing for them to be with her, wondering why they always seem to run off so quickly when she so desperately wants them to stay.
