I think this song is about that one person that sits in the corner nobody talks to .. that one person that just looks "wierd" and anti-social. The "Odd One" that probably gets picked on for being different.
The artist is admiring this persons differences, but recognizing that they are both very much equal. The artist fits in with the crowd by doing what everybody else is doing.. he covers up his insecurities by blending in, but he admires the "odd one" for not covering up insecurities, and not trying to fit in and is just being themselves.
