In my opinion, it seems to be about something religious. My mind has always jumped right to suicide bombers ("Self righteous suicide"" "Angels deserve to die") It's like the bomber preparing, and they paint it in a way that shows he's putting on a fake face of righteousness (i.e. "Grab a brush and put a little make-up")Then "Why'd you leave the keys upon the table" is like, why are you driving a car with no keys? The answer would be there's a bomb in the back. Then the bomber dies ("Father into your hands I commend my spirit") and he gets to heaven and realizes he was mislead ("Why have you frosaken me?") Serj is from Saudi Arabia, and he's made songs about that area before, and System is usually politically motivated, so that's where my mind always goes when I listen to this song.
