To me, the "mosquito" is one of those puppy dog crushes that you know you will never like back. Everyone's had or seen a relationship like that. He's usually a sort of nerdy kid, but very sweet, constantly there, irritating the narrator, but she can't really get mad at him because all he wants is to be with her. And even though she doesn't like him back, she likes the attention that she gets from him, because nobody else cares so much about her. She probably even thinks of him as a friend. The narrator likes flirting with him too, to raise her confidence. "Wouldn't you love if I fell like Snow White?" She might even be falling for him, just a little, but she knows that she can't give in because the other kiddies at school would make fun of her. So she blames him for "poisoning" her with his affection, and with the confidence and happiness it gives her. She probably also feels guilty because she keeps breaking his heart, although I don't see it in this song.
