To me, this song is saying that Love is never perfect, even thought people often try to make it out to be all flowers and pink lights. And the "only really perfect love is one that gets away" because any real love that lasts will have problems and never be happy all the time. Where as superficial loves which don't last are "perfect" because they are not bound to make it to hardships.
Of course i could be wrong and it could really just be an iconoclastic statement made to just piss people off and make them squirm. Which is also a plausible option consisting the artist. :)
