SICK BAND. they sound amazing together. and the bits of screams are freakin intense, they use them extremely well.
this song sounds to me like its about a guy who somehow gets in the spotlight, sounds like he has something to do with speaking or maybe singing(!possibly himself?!) He is warned that even if he falls a thousand times, to get back up and stand strong, because otherwise they will blow him away.
It seems like maybe the media is watching his every move(your words are underlined in red)
(Tell them all you're a star and you can ride in the back of the car and get lost in the distance) he is getting into all the "hot" parties, because he is recognized.
Now here's where it seems to take a turn: "She's not going anywhere planted like a rose in thorns in the glare here's your shot to let her know its over. The only roads she'll ever see, she'll see alone." Im thinking either he is talking about dumping a girl he's already with, because somebody is telling him that she isn't going anywhere and will only drag him down; or he has just picked up some chick for a one nighter, and is just letting her know that its not going anywhere and he isn't planning to be with her.
It seems like this is the point where stardom gets to his head.
"When the lights on the stage begin to dim, bow out bow down. And if the airwaves make one sound shut them down shut them out." It seems like he is about to play a show, and he is being told (now im thinking by a manager or something) to ignore the critics and people saying that he has sold out or whatever and to just play.
It seems like in all this song is just talking about the negative effects of fame on the people.
Brilliant song.
