I agree, definitely feel that it could perhaps be about unrequited love or wanting so badly to be in a relationship and that position to have someone to love, and love in return ('I'm burning to impress') be comfortable and yourself around that person completely, basically by saying ('I can be fantasy') its trying to prove all these emotions and feelings you want to feel and can share with someone.
