I think this song explains how misery loves company. He wants somebody else to break his skin so he can show them what kind of state he's in. He'll lead the descent because he's indifferent to HELLLLLL. He tells us to break his spell by giving us examples that don't make any sense. You can't drown a wishing well and you sure as hell can't kill time if you think about it but this way he lures us into his state of mind.
