This song was one of the first songs Amy wrote. I think it's about how she feel. When she talks about what her granparents generation are saying 'In my day we were better behaved'. but like she says we are a diffrent generation to then. Things have changed so we have had to change. Its survival of the fittest being a teenager these days.
By saying 'My children's children they're the ones to blame' there saying that we have done something that needs someone to blame. We can use WW1 as an example. Germany had to take war guily even though they didn't technicaly start the war, but its someone to blame so they are taking they are doing so because they new that they couldn't do anything to stop it. And thats exactly how we feel. The youth are being blamed and we feel like germany did but were standing up for ourselves. we are not going to be blamed for something we didn't do.
