This song is exactly what I'm going through right now. At least my interpreation of it.
In the beginning the person is reminiscing about what amazing times the person and their ex had together and how the feelings haven't died but how for one reason or another they can't be together. The "I was born to tell you I love you, and I am torn to do what I have to" is the person having to move on from their ex even though they don't want to because the feelings are still there but for some reason they can't be together...
"I'm tired of being all alone and this solitary moment makes me want to come back home"
... This is the person saying how they can't take being alone anymore and that they can't wait for their ex to come back to them.. in my case its I can't wait around for my childhood sweetheart anymore.. we both love each other with everything we've had.. but he leaves the continent in a few months and he doesn't even live anywhere close to me now.. and I've met someone... so I love him, but I don't know how to tell him I'm not waiting anymore... I think 5 years is a long time to wait... I can't wait another two years... </3.
