I loved this song due to the upbeat sound but when I started listening to it mindlessly this line kept standing out "look what your man has done to the world, look what the world has done to your man" and the "who could love me" sort of thing.
This is big-time what goes on in so many relationships. I met my wife (now of 16 years) but I still feel like that kid who met her when I had just turned 18 and wasn't ready for marriage or the responsibility to take care of her.
Now that line "look what the world has done to your man" is how I feel a lot of times, the world weighs on you as time goes on, specially when there's a woman (and kids?) you love who you want to be able to rely on you.
The song is about a man unable to deal with responsibility, believing he is unworthy and he makes it a "song away" as he leaves making it light but - it's not a happy song really. Not at all.
