To hear Dane's live intro from the Year Of The Voyager DVD makes the song seem overly simplistic. Basically, he asks all the guys in the audience if they've ever been dumped by a chick that they "reeeeeally liked fucking ... I mean REALLY liked fucking ... you liked it so much, it fucked your head up ... you liked it so much that you neeeever wanted her to go away ... you liked it sooooo fucking much, you let the Heart Collector steal your soul!"
But, with that in mind, it makes me think of the 'actor without tears" being a person without the ability to feel emotions, who preys on others to gain some semblance of feeling, and leaving behind all sorts of emotional wreckage.
