I can't believe that anyone still hasn't exposed any thoughts on this song yet. My favorite song of the album, and the easiest to understand too :)
I personally think this song talks about a relationship. Not just a romantic one, could be friendship or any other kind of relationship. I know the band doesn't write about relationships, but I can't think about any other interpretation of this song.
Anyway, I think it talks about a relationship that didn't last and the end itself was not very good, but they don't know whose fault is (''is it you or me who should feel guilty?''). Still they don't have the will to find out who was wrong or right because they have nothing more to say each other, that they'd just ''sit and stare'' if they ever saw each other again.
That's exactly what i got from the song when i listened to it. I instantly though of my ex bestfriends and how our friendship went completely wrong. I know they don't write about relationship, but i think when they said that they were referring like the typical boyfriend/girlfriend love relationships.

That's rich because I thought about my ex-best friend too :) Sometimes things just don't work out the way we want them to and this song is the musical proof of it.
