An anthem for stupid girls. Seriously, who else thinks how they party makes them desirable? Besides, people of CA are nothing like this. Sex & stilettos on the beach? Really? Perhaps a few ultra-wealthy girls live this way. So basically it's a song bragging about daddy being rich. Don't get me wrong, I'm all in favor of wealth. It's entitlement that stinks. And this song reeks of it.
Despite the fact that it's being played ad nauseum, we'll all forget this one in a few years.
The way I see it, even though it may be stereotypical, it's just showing appreciation for the West Coast. Besides, I'm fine with a little bit of stereotypes in music because if she were to write about every single California Girl out there, then it would be a two-week-long song, y'know?
