I'm pretty sure their managers/producers/advisors pretty much forced her to make this kind of song (haven't heard the entire album) as a career move, just to bring her back in the spotlight. Were they right in doing so? NO . Christina have always shined because of her voice not because she was the sluttiest or the most eccentric, so trying to impose what's trending right now ended up in this song being half GaGa and half Stripped era.
I like this song, though the vocals kinda don't fit in, but the synths and beat in general is brilliant.
If her was a really singer she wouldn't make it. Joss Stone for example simply quit record labels when they try to do it with her. Christina accepted to be a whore, maybe because she is really one, and that kind of music really doesn't attract me nor is fun.
