How can nobody comment on this song. It's one of the great late period Kink's songs. Similar in theme to "Rock and Roll Fantasy" on MISFITS. It's about a lady that really gets into music. She really disects the art and the message and the whole gestault of it.
Everyone tells her to just let it go, that it's mindless crap. Or they simply don't understand her fascination with music. It gets so bad that it has an affect on her relationship.
I think anybody that considers themselves a Kinks fan can relate to this. We just seem to like music a little more than the average person.
