This song to me revolves around two things... his love for the city and the girl that's living in it. It's like a story. Joe Purdy seems to be more familiar with the country as stated in his previous songs. So in this song it's hard not to assume that he's traveling to a city he's never been to before. So pretty much he's describing a situation in which he goes to this city and see's a girl he's been in love with and that nothing has changed about her. He describes that the city keeps "going" and what's beautiful about that is that he's saying as life goes on, she never seems to loose her beauty.
