This song is sort of sad...a bittersweet sort of feel to it. It's about a boy who is so in love with this girl and he threw it all away because of something stupid. So now she is with a new guy and he hopes that he treats her right. He hopes that she is happy. He wants to make sure she stays with him and to make it last. So in a way, I agree with ThreeCheersForFiveYears.
