Cover art for Wrapped lyrics by George Strait

This is my first post here; I found this site a few months ago, and loved it. I love reading some of the interpretations of some of my favorite songs that eluded me for one reason or another. I like all sorts of music, and I enjoyed reading the pink floyd interpretations - because those are some pretty zany tunes.

Anyways, I also love me some country! And this is one of my favorite George Strait songs. I was surprised to see that no one had written anything about it. It's such a catchy tune, and most people can identify with it. To me, it shows the guys point of view after he runs into an old flame at a bar. I can identify with it vividly - walking into a crowded bar and trading stares with a gal I dated. Your heart pounds, you try to play it cool, you get nervous...you exchange a few more glances throughout the night, and finally you're sure she's feeling the same way; that she wants you to come over. Then you go for it and say hi, and maybe you rekindle that old flame. The emotion/excitement of that moment, as a 20-something year old, is something I'll never forget.
