I believe this song has alot of true meaning. Hes pretty much telling us that he was appearently misguided "probably while growing up" to think outside beauty always over powers & is stronger than inside beauty. Wich is true...look at the world we live in. Its all in the fashion magazines, Vogue, Cosmo ect. Americans are some of the most beautifuly attractive people. But then again some of the most meanest & ill mannered. So to him the only thing important now is obviously Vanity. To be beautiful...everything else is monotone, jaded, nothing special anymore so to speak. & that he has probably tried to commit suicide before by saying (I almost died, but it felt great) maybe attemting to overdose (doll eyes stare into valuim colored skys) & he lives a superficail & selfish but lonely life by him saying (I may be easy to hate) & he is so obsessed with the topic of beauty that its nothing new to him & most likely its all he thinks about & wants to talk about is looks...making people around him disgusted by his obsession. & he fears the day he dies cuz then he will no longer be in control of his body image. knowing his corpse will become rotten & he will no longer have the cravings for youth or seductive beauty of the living. ( sweet tooth & strawbery youth) But at the same time wants to die cuz he is so miserable. Also people probably have asked him how he has become sooo wraped up in what society thinks real beauty is.
